Siemex was founded in 1982 by Mrs. Chen and Mr. Chiang. The company was originally in the business of distributing floppy disk drives and computer components for Taiwan manufacturers. Mr. Chiang had a background in Japanese linguistics, which compelled his success while doing business with large Japanese enterprises. Siemex Corporation was the sole distributor of Taiwan for these Japanese floppy disk manufacturers during the 80s and early 90s. Siemex also had a joint venture with Sumitomo Corporation in Singapore during the peak of the tech industry in Taiwan. Years down, Siemex transitioned into the agri-dairy industry. At first, Siemex began with only a handful of customers, importing only several containers of hay. Eight years later, the company has expanded into one of the largest hay importers in Taiwan with also new departments that handle some of the other diversified dairy-related products.
